Graphic design is often underestimated in the home based business world.

However, it is a very important aspect of any business and that includes your home business.

Graphic designers are responsible for creating visual concepts that represent the ideas and messages of their clients. They use their creativity and knowledge of design principles to create effective and visually appealing designs.

Good graphic design can help businesses to stand out from their competitors and communicate their message more effectively. It is therefore essential for businesses to have a good graphic designer on their team.

Making sure you understand some of the basic concepts can only help you when it comes to your content creation goals. If you are a YouTuber, blogger or whatever the case may be you are going to need to learn some basics when it comes to creating Graphics. I try and look at creating graphics in three phases.

Phase I is brainstorming and phase II collection of ideas and then phase three is creation

Home-based graphic designers: What you need to know

Working from home as a graphic designer can be a great option for many people. It can provide more freedom and flexibility, while also allowing you to work on your own schedule.  A lot of people have found success with places like fiverr.com However, there are some things that you need to know in order to make the most of this type of work arrangement. Here are a few key points to keep in mind:

1. Make sure that you have a good-quality home office setup. This includes having a comfortable chair, a good desk, and plenty of storage space for your supplies.

2. Set boundaries with your family and friends. Let them know when you are working and when you are not, and ask them not to interrupt you during your designated work hours.

3. Stay organized. This is especially important when you are working from home, as there is no one else to keep track of your deadlines and projects. When you have a lot of assets you may want to invest in a program like eagal that will help you to keep all of those images and design assets in once place so you can quickly get to them. I love the fact that you can integrate the program with Dropbox.

The basics of graphic design.

A graphic designer is a professional who creates visual concepts, by using typography, images, and layout, to communicate ideas. Graphic design is used to create logos, posters, brochures, and web graphics. While many people think that graphic design is all about making things look pretty, it is really about solving problems and communicating ideas. Graphic designers use their skills in art and technology to create effective communications solutions.

Graphic design software.

Graphic design software is used to create, edit, and organize digital images.

Common graphic design software programs include Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

I use several programs to get the results I am looking for in my business. I am a big fan of VistaCreate and also ClickDesigns.

These programs allow users to create graphics for websites, logos, and other marketing materials. Graphic design software can be expensive, but there are a number of free programs available online.

Now even though they are free they may cost you in the long run. How? Well when you want to do some of the more fantastic things with the images you will be limited due to the limitations of a free program and you may have to pay to play..if you know what I mean.

Graphic design tips and tricks.

In graphic design, there are some basic principles that can be followed to create an effective and appealing design.

We will explore some tips and tricks to help you create better graphics.

First, it is important to understand the basic principles of graphic design. Some of these principles include balance, contrast, emphasis, and unity.

When creating a piece of art, be it a painting, photograph, or sculpture, an artist must adhere to these principles in order to make their work more aesthetically pleasing.

Now this will take some time to learn. In my view it's all about colors and the contrast.

Not every color works together and people need to understand that.

So when it comes to picking and matching colors I tend to use coolors.co/. This tool has saved me countless hours of trying to figure out what color goes well with what I am working with.

For example, one way to create balance in a work of art is to use symmetrical shapes. This creates a sense of stability and equilibrium within the piece.

Alternatively, artists can use asymmetry to create tension and excitement within their work. Contrast can also be used to great effect by juxtaposing different elements against each other. For instance, light against dark or smooth against rough surfaces can create visual interest.
Now this took some time for me to learn especially when it came to YouTube Thumbnails.

Learning that you could use shapes in all sorts of ways took some time for me to get. The Video Below will give you some idea of what I mean.

The video above was from one of our  Saturday coaching session where I share tips and tricks to help you on your digital journey. Don't miss out on the next class make sure you sign up in the video or down below.

Finally, it is important for artists to remember the principle of emphasis. Additionally, you should use typography to your advantage, and make sure that all elements of your design are in alignment.

Lastly, always test your designs before publishing them to ensure that they look their best. You can share them in Facebook groups and get feedback on what other people think.

You can always ask a spouse or family member we all know they will be brutally honest.

Graphic design is an essential aspect of any business. Home-based graphic designers need to be knowledgeable in the basics of graphic design, as well as using graphic design software. By following the tips and tricks provided in this article, you can create awesome graphics for your business or blog.
